鴨居(Kamoi) and 敷居(Shiki-i)
Kamoi refers to the upper part of a wooden frame that is grooved to fit fittings such as sliding doors and shoji screens.
A shiki-i is the bottom part of a wooden frame with grooves to fit fittings such as sliding doors and shoji screens.
