縁側(Engawa) is a unique structure of a Japanese-style house in Japan, and is a plank-shaped passage that overhangs the edge of the building.
It can also be used to go indoors directly from the outside such as in the garden.
Agricultural work and interaction with the neighborhood have been carried out on 縁側（Engawa), which is neither inside nor outside. In European architecture, balconies and porch are similar in design.
