Sashigane and roof slope~woodworking master class in ile de france~

There are various angles on the roof, which can be found using Sashigane.

For example, if you apply 1 Shaku of Nagate (longer one) to the horizontal plane and raise Tsumate (shorter one) by 5 Sun, the slope will be 5 Sun. If you raise Tsumate by 3 Sun, it becomes a slope of 3 Sun.

Sashigane is a very useful tool. It’s difficult, but it’s interesting.

We, Suikoushya, plan to establish a school building in Ile de France in 2022. 

This is a project that we want to build with Suikoushya graduates and professional woodworkers. Through this real construction project, Takami would like to pass not only Japanese woodworking techniqs and craftsmanship but also the spirit of the Japanese people involved in making things.
