The trees that grow on the slopes warp from the valley side to the mountain side. The valley side is called [SE] and the mountain side is called [HARA]. For girders and beams that receive bending force, use [SE] facing up (warp upward), but for beams such as protruding beams (cantilever), use [HARA] facing up.
However, it often doesn’t work in the field. Depending on the material we have, you need various ideas and usages.

We, Suikoushya, plan to establish a school building in Ile de France in 2022.

This is a project that we want to build with Suikoushya graduates and professional woodworkers. Through this real construction project, Takami would like to pass not only Japanese woodworking techniqs and craftsmanship but also the spirit of the Japanese people involved in making things.
