Does the piece of wood crack when you nail it?
Be especially careful when nailing thin materials or the edges of materials. If you crush the tip of the nail and make it a little round, the board will not crack easily, but to prevent cracking, it is recommended to drill a pilot hole before hitting the nail.
The depth of the pilot hole is about 1/2 to 2/3 of the nail. Please do not spare this effort.
