Last weekend we decided to host a kid’s workshop. The craft we made was this pencil case. The design is a miniature version of a tool box used by carpenters in Japan.
Materials and tools ready.
The kids all ready to go.
First step, to bond all the sides together using quick-drying wood bond.
Using masking tape to “clamp” the materials.
Bonding the bottom.
Making the lid.
Finishing touches: sand papering the edges.
All done and complete.
Happy!
We plan on having a few more workshops soon. When I asked the kids what they would like to make next, they replied “a house”.
So I guess a barbie house? Maybe a real sized play house? We will have to see.
