About Sumiki
The roof of the rest area of Suikoushya is the Irimoya (hip-and-gable) roof. The structural material used for the slopes of the apex where the roofs intersect is called Sumiki. Knowing the angle of Sumiki is very difficult and you need to learn the method of applying a construction drawing to the materials, named “kiku-jutsu”.Check out this free YouTube video for more information.

We, Suikoushya, plan to establish a school building in Ile de France in 2022.
